Senior Controller (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and controlling financial activities in manufacturing or engineering companies and will be responsible for providing strategic support in financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement project controlling;
• Modernization and maintenance of existing projects reports;
• Supporting the continuous development and optimization of controlling;
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS to be submitted to the local CFO;
• As a close point of contact for management, you will prepare continuous variance regarding costs and productivity and review the profitability of each individual project
• Provide support to implement the update of the existing ERP (finance & controlling focus) and roll-out of a new ERP in the upcoming future
• Improve existing budgeting structure for each cost center so to become business partner for various cost centers and support for cost center managers;
• Provide support to implement forecasts for the location and monthly reporting to be submitted to the local CFO.
• Provide support to implement corporate planning, budgeting, and ongoing forecasts to be submitted to the local CFO;
• Preparation of and participation in monthly performance reviews
• Support CFO during financial audits by external auditors
• Provide financial oversight of BBS Winding, a sister company located in Poggibonsi, part of DURR group (ca. 20-30% of the tasks; limited traveling required)
• Support management in defining and implementing new strategic projects

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and controlling, preferably in manufacturing or automation companies
• Experience in an international company, preferably stock-listed European companies
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Italian tax regulations
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, preferably experience with IFRS 15 (revenue recognition) and IFRS 16 (leasing)
• IT affinity and good knowledge of best practice tools, e.g. Power BI tools
• Good knowledge of MS Office and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 an advantage
• Leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and results-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Strong personality with drive
• Proficiency in English
