BBS buys italian winding specialist Team S.r.l.

Garching, Poggibonsi - July 2019: BBS Automation puts the company's technological profile on a broader basis with the acquisition of the Italian specialist for winding technology Team S.r.l.

Winding technology is a highly complex basic technology and is of great importance for a comprehensive range of automation in the production of electric motors. The construction of production equipment for the fabrication of electric motors, in turn, is an important factor in the turnover of BBS. In order to better meet its own "all from one source" claim in the future, BBS Automation acquired the Tuscany-based Italian company. The specialists for winding technology have decades of experience and offer sophisticated and robust winding machines for a variety of different winding technologies. Machines from Poggibonsi work precisely and reliably and enjoy an excellent reputation in the relevant specialist circles.

Team s.r.l. was founded in 1998 by Francesco M. de Mauro, Moreno Bellosi, Simone Del Giudice and Claudio Giannini and is on a steady growth path. Today, the company engages around 60 people and supplies customers in Europe and overseas. During the takeover by BBS Automation GmbH based in Garching near Munich, Team S.r.l. at the same time was renamed to BBS Winding S.r.l. All employees were taken over, as well as the former managing director Francesco M. de Mauro, who in the future will be responsible for the management of the company as general manager.
