New clean room at the Sonthofen site
Since 2015, our division BBS Automation Blaichach GmbH has been operating its own clean room for the realization of high-precision assembly systems. After the company moved to neighboring Sonthofen, the clean room remained at its previous location in Blaichach. Since October 2024, the clean room has now also “moved” to the Sonthofen site. It was not a real move, as the clean room in the factory building in Sonthofen had to be completely rebuilt. This meant that the last high-precision projects could finally be moved from the former location in Blaichach to Sonthofen.
Our new clean room in figures:
- Cleanroom class ISO 5
- Dimensions: approx. 14x20m = 280m²
- Room height 8m; crane hook height 6m
- Can be equipped with two cranes (6.3t and 8t)
- Can be completely darkened (e.g. for inspection with UV light)
- Large lock with 40m² passage
- Large cleaning area
- Ultrasonic cleaning
- Manual cleaning
- Oven for baking out
- Washing area for wet cleaning of large parts
- Inspection with whitelight and UV light
- Wipe tests
- Regular cleanliness inspections (particles and VOC)
